"Spiritual perception," Chen analyzed. "We've gained the ability to perceive reality's spiritual dimension. Not just matter and energy, but... essence. Soul. Whatever you want to call the layer beneath physics."
"The evolution is beginning," Kael confirmed. "Just as physical evolution built our bodies wave by wave, spiritual evolution will build our souls. Each wave adding capability, each challenge forcing growth."

"Forty-eight more stages of soul evolution. By Wave 99, we'll be as spiritually transcendent as we are physically transcendent."

"We're becoming beings who exist on multiple levels simultaneously," Chen added. "Physical and spiritual, individual and collective, bounded and infinite."
"We're becoming worthy," Derek said quietly. "Whatever the Final Test requires, we're being shaped to face it."
Worthy. The word the system had used since Wave 10.
Humanity was proving itself worthy.
