He'd known she would have. That was part of why he hadn't mentioned it. "Because of the gap problem."

He thought about Sera Blackwood and the flat assessment-level look she'd given him during training, the military precision of her speech, the fact that she'd traced the Foundation invitation referral chain independently before contacting him.
